Houston summers are brutal on cars. Keep your coolant, battery, tires, and AC in check with these hot-weather maintenance tips.
Check coolant and hoses
Heat is the enemy of rubber hoses and coolant. We inspect for leaks, swollen hoses, and degraded fluid. A proper cooling system service prevents roadside overheating, and hard-working trucks often benefit from a full aluminum radiator or other bolt-on upgrade.
Test the battery
High temperatures accelerate battery failure. We load-test your battery and starting system and clean terminals so you're less likely to get stranded in a parking lot. If it happens anyway, we run emergency roadside service.
Watch tire pressure and tread
For every 10°F the temperature rises, tires gain about 1 PSI. Check pressure in the morning and inspect tread for uneven wear that could signal suspension and steering or wheel hub and bearing problems. Pair the check with your next oil change and maintenance visit.
